2024 Viognier
The 2024 Viognier is a lovely take on the varietal as the wine sees stainless steel drums during élevage. Bright aromas of white peach, papaya, and honeysuckle burst from the glass. The palate is rich yet balanced with flavors of apricot, mango and honey. This dry Viognier pairs wonderfully with a wide range of dishes, especially those with a little spice.

Finer Details
The 2024 growing season in Sonoma County was close to perfect. A cool spring was followed by a warm summer, ideal for vine growth and development. When it came to harvest, the warm days and cool nights allowed the grapes to mature nice and slowly. It was the kind of year in which the vines achieved balance between canopy growth, yields, and phenolic ripeness more easily than most. If the 2024 vintage was to be remembered for one thing, it would be the pristine fruit quality that arrived at the cellar all vintage long. Bricoleur Vineyard’s Viognier comes from our second estate vineyard, Kick Ranch, in the Fountaingrove District AVA. Kick Ranch is a stunning hillside vineyard with rich volcanic soils seated on the western slopes of the Mayacamas Range. The Viognier vines are over twenty years old and are planted at the highest point of the vineyard at over 500 feet elevation. Viognier is both challenging and rewarding to grow with variable yields year to year. The perfect balance was struck in 2024 between crop load and phenolic development, producing deeply floral fruit.
