2024 The Last Note Late Harvest

This is the second Late Harvest wine by Bricoleur Vineyards. The wine is a brilliant gold color and stands to impress with fragrances of honeysuckle, dried pineapple and lemon curd greeting the nose. The palate is seamless and satisfyingly sweet while maintaining a mouthwatering freshness. A fitting name, The Last Note is meant to be the send-off after a convivial evening with friends and family.

Bricoleur Vineyard’s Late Harvest wine utilizes fruit from both Estate Vineyards. The Chardonnay comes from our estate in Russian River Valley and the Viognier from Kick Ranch in the Fountaingrove District. Both the Chardonnay and Viognier were left to ripen on the vine over a month longer than their dry wine counterparts. The fruit clusters developed a lovely sun-kissed brown color and were spotted with golden raisins bursting with flavors of honey. The decadent aromas and flavors found in this dessert wine are a result of the extended vine ripening.

Once the grapes developed optimal flavor and sweetness, they were hand-harvested and whole-cluster pressed. The Viognier was harvested on October 5th and the Chardonnay on October 19th, the last pick of the vintage. The two components of this wine were fermented separately and then blended to age in stainless steel for 5 months with an additional 5 months bottle aging before being released.
