2024 Chardonnay

This Chardonnay presents enticing aromas of ripe pear and warm brioche, setting the stage for a richly textured experience. The palate reveals flavors of vanilla and lemon zest and is beautifully balanced by bright acidity and a lasting finish.

The 2024 growing season in Sonoma County was close to perfect. A cool spring was followed by a warm summer, ideal for vine growth and development. When it came to harvest, the warm days and cool nights allowed the grapes to mature nice and slowly. It was the kind of year in which the vines achieved balance between canopy growth, yields, and phenolic ripeness more easily than most. If the 2024 vintage was to be remembered for one thing, it would be the pristine fruit quality that arrived at the cellar all vintage long.

The hand-picked Chardonnay was carefully night harvested when the fruit reached maturity, offering distinct varietal flavors and wonderful acidity. The grapes were whole cluster pressed and the resulting juice settled for 24 hours in a chilled stainless-steel tank before being transferred to French Oak barrels where it was barrel fermented and aged sur lie 10 months. Our favorite French cooperages lend a wonderfully integrated presence of oak.
