"Part of what makes asparagus so special is its limited season, While it's solid year-round in some regions, purists stick to the calendar. "In a time when most 'seasonal produce' is now available throughout the year, waiting for the first favas, peas, and asparagus of spring becomes even more precious," says Todd Knoll, executive chef at Bricoleur Vineyards in Sonoma, California's Russian River Valley."

― Randi Gollin, Martha Stewart

"Over in Sonoma's Russian River Valley is a newer best-kept-secret winery, Bricoleur Vineyards....Reserve the Rooted experience and you'll be in for a delicious treat. The servings are hearty and prettily plated with edible flowers and micro vegetables from a farm that's steps away from the kitchen...Senior sous chef REbeca Robinson excels at pasta production, so there is usuallly a dish like poppy seed ravioli stuffed with ricotta, served with a lemony morel mushroom sauce. "

― Katie Sweeney , Forbes

The winemaking team draws on two main sources for their fruit, the Kick Ranch Vineyards in Fountaingrove AVA, which sits in the western foothills of the Mayacamas, and the estate vineyard, which surrounds the winery a 25-minute drive away in the heart of Russian River Valley. The Fountaingrove District is a newcomer, achieving AVA status in 2015 and totaling just 500 acres of vines so far. At 44 acres, Kick is one of the AVA's biggest vineyards."

― James Molesworth, Wine Spectator

"Some wineries are taking things further into the culinary realm, and hosting cooking classes. It's a win-win for wine lovers, as they sip and learn about the great grapes while getting hands-on guidance through artful recipes they might recreate at home. Periodically, Bricoleur's senior sous chef Rebeca Robinson hosts "Pasting Making with Chef Becca" classes in the winery's Culinary Kitchenn."
