In April 2023, Bricoleur Vineyards co-founder Sarah Hanson Citron received the challenging diagnosis of breast cancer. An extraordinary leader and devoted mother, Sarah’s strength is an inspiration. In honor of her courageous battle and the countless lives touched by cancer, we are honored to introduce Sip With Purpose. Everyone has been affected by cancer in one way or another. Bricoleur Vineyards is dedicated to making a difference.
The V Foundation for Cancer Research, founded by ESPN and legendary basketball coach Jim Valvano in 1993, embodies a single mission: to achieve Victory Over Cancer®. The Foundation has granted over $310 million in cancer research nationwide. They proudly allocate 100 percent of direct donations to cancer research and related programs. Their unwavering mission is to fund game-changing research and all-star scientists to accelerate victory over cancer and save lives. these grants undergo a rigorous peer-reviewed process overseen by a Scientific Advisory Committee. Together, we can uplift and empower individuals like Sarah, showing our unwavering commitment to making a meaningful impact, one step at a time.
Our journey with the V Foundation began in 2022, before Sarah’s diagnosis. Through the Sonoma Epicurean, Bricoleur Vineyards has been privileged to host Foundation events. The V Foundation introduced Sarah to the I-SPY 2 clinical trial, specifically targeting hormones that fuel certain types of breast cancer. Sarah’s recent participation in this trial resulted in a remarkable 40% reduction in the size of her cancer.

Making Strides Against Cancer Bay Area
Making Strides Against Breast Cancer celebrates courage and hope, a movement uniting the community to end breast cancer. For three decades, these non-competitive walks have collectively grown into the nation’s largest and most impactful breast cancer movement – providing a supportive community for courageous breast cancer survivors and metastatic breast cancer thrivers, caregivers, and families alike. Help support Bricoleur Vineyards co-founder Sarah Hanson Citron. On October 22nd, walk with her and the Bricoleur team to help raise money for cancer research.
Sip and give back
Starting this October, Bricoleur Vineyards will donate $5 to the V Foundation for cancer research for each bottle purchased of the Isla Rose Brut Rosé. With every purchase of a case of Isla Rose Brut Rosé the founders of Bricoleur Vineyards will match the $60 donation to the V Foundation in support of cancer research.
