Cycle For Survival
On Saturday, February 1, 2025, our team of Bricoleur Vineyards employees and friends came together to ride for a cause close to our hearts, Cycle for Survival. Hosted by Equinox in San Francisco and nationwide, this event raises funds for rare cancer research and treatment at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
Team Bricoleur took turns cycling and cheering each other on during this 4-hour long indoor cycling event, embodying the spirit of resilience and community that defines Cycle for Survival. Through this event alone, our team raised $5,000, and with another ride planned in New York City, we have collectively contributed over $11,000 (and counting!) toward groundbreaking cancer research.
Why We Ride
At Bricoleur Vineyards, philanthropy is woven into our mission. Our Sip with Purpose campaign was created after our Co-Founder, Sarah, became one of the 4 million people in the U.S. affected by breast cancer. Since her diagnosis in April 2023, Sarah has undergone chemotherapy, radiation, a double mastectomy, and reconstructive surgeries, all while advocating for early cancer detection and supporting life-saving research. Through Sip with Purpose, Bricoleur Vineyards has proudly donated over $113,000 to organizations like Cycle for Survival, The V Foundation, The American Cancer Society.
Cycle for Survival itself has raised more than $400 million for rare cancer research since its inception in 2007, directly funding treatments that save lives. At the event, we had the privilege of hearing powerful testimonials from survivors who have benefited from these advancements. One particularly moving story came from a woman who, despite undergoing chemotherapy for breast cancer, was able to experience the joy of bringing her third child into the world thanks to a 20 year study performed at Memorial Sloan Kettering.
